Re: [iPad] iOS 7 UI rumours eek

I needed the terms definitions!

Maybe I dont understand Apple. But I am not disagreeing with the past innovations. My point is that they are falling behind with standard features these days. Its a but like,. as an analogy (and exaggerated for effect) that someone invents a car. Now, all the other car makers have electric windows and traction control, but we dont. ( I am talking iOS here not the hardware, smartphone and tablet hardware differ little these days)

Until recently I've not seen Apple drag the chain, they bring stuff in, others do as well, court cases go both ways, great. Now, I see them treading water while others improve what they offer, to a point where it becomes more and more compelling, and more noticeable of the gap between what an iOS device can do and what others can do. I doubt that Apple does not care what others think at all. They were marketed superbly, do they want Apple to be synonymous with being 2 years behind? I would not think so, but that just my opinion. particularly as innovation gets harder and harder, I cannot see any next big thing in the next 2 to 3 years. Just melding the ecosystem together to give the most benefit, fun, usefulness, coolness to the users.

SMH. I fully believe you do not understand apple. All I have to add is that  If you don't care what ppl think of you, I think you are better off. Just keep doing what you do best regardless of the critics. Its easy to be a critic. Its hard to be an innovator. IRL/AFK & as with perceptions like the ones you speak of. I think Apple and I see eye 2 eye on this one.

IRL - in real life or AFK - away from keyboard for those who feel real life is virtual. SMH - shaking my head.... Just defining some terms I realized I have used that others man not know.

Yep, you are talking innovation, I agree. I am talking what standard functions exist in devices today. I see that gap ever widening. Anti Apple used to be what I saw as jealousy for the coolest thing. tech talk these days is Apple is behind is what are now standard features. That does show up as well, behind. Perception is not keeping up
