I have the original iPad that I bought in the first week they shipped. Got wifi only, 32Gb version and it has done all I have asked of it.
I keep thinking I'd like to move to newer and the Mini seems to be the way I'd probably go. But then I start looking at the cost to do so and wonder what I'm gonna get that I really need.
I know it has cameras all over the place, but my camera phone has only taken pictures of the inside of my pocket, so I doubt that's a big deal. :)
And I know it has Airplay that actually does mirroring to my ATV3, both video and audio, which the iPad 1 doesn't do except for very, very limited apps. Things like MaxGO and HBOGo now do it and that could be handy, but I have to wonder if I would use it enough. Now I just start something from those sites (and ANY site for that matter) on my MBP w/Retina and let it Airplay. The downside to doing it with the MBP is that I usually have that plugged into a USB Hub and external monitor and I'd have to move it.
What other things could I expect that might wow me??
Any and all suggestions welcome.
