I agree with you 100% which is why I went for the 4s (from the 4) instead of the 5 & have not upgraded to iOS6.

Obviously,  I was correct in the use of the word,  "debacle"  in describing this latest change…. in particular, Apple maps.   Cook's apology may be deemed "rare"  but his recommendation to use  competitor Google's App is a First.
