Re: [iPad] Re: Tim Cook Statement on Maps App

I think people just like to complain. I say, less complaining and let Apple know what third party map app they're using that they like much better. I'm sure Apple would take notice.

Deadlines. Man oh boy I used to run a publishing biz. We had 7 monthly papers. Deadlines sometimes kick your patootey. You just gotta get the job done. I mean its always so close scrambling locating missing stuff creating stuff where holes exist and if you've never been down that road maybe your understanding is a little off. Apple's deadlines were political too. The deals with google were failing. Google wanted branding and latitude integration or they'd pull and apple needed feature parity with android. Neither were budging. Additionally i am thinking the general public is trivializing how complex this app, Maps, is. I dunno. Map gate it is like antenna gate before it. My bet is that Apple is working double overtime to correct this snafu. I doubt they're taking this lightly. They need to one-up the other offerings. The 3d mode did that. Now when they correct the text overlays and the visual glitches they'll have a truly world class product. IMHO.
