Re: [iPad] IPad not showing up in iTunes. Help!

Do you have a 3G ipad? Make sure that wifi is turned on if you have a wifi only model.

These messages are normal for an ipad that has no internet connection.

Make sure it is not in air plane mode.  Go to the Settings app.  The top left of the screen, make sure Airplane mode is off.  Right under that, verify that wifi is on and connected.

Can you connect to internet from the desktop computers?

The message about erasing the ipad is normal when syncing to a new desktop or laptop.

Hi,

Since yesterday afternoon, my iPad has not shown up in iTunes, when I connect. I get a USB 2.0 error saying this device will update faster with a USB 2.0 port. Which i already have. I can't even login to make a purchase. Itunes tells me the network connection was reset. Huh? And, just as a test, I "told" iTunes I forgot my password (even though I know it). The password redirect page is offline. I get the generic Windows 'can't find the page' error message.

When I try to connect my ipad to a different computer, I get a warning saying my apps and data will be erased if I continue.

If any of you had this experience, any advice would be much appreciated. Should I wait? Is iTunes servers' down?
