Some people want to memorialize Steve Jobs. It sounds like he has passed on. I think we should not worry about Mr. Jobs. We do not need to dress like him or donate money; although it is nice to donate money to any worthwhile cause.
I might point out that although Steve will no longer be performing his duties as the company's Chief Executive Officer, he will continue to serve as Apple's Chairman of the Board. He will continue to exercise oversight over Apple's efforts. This means we probably should not expect the big changes some of us want.
As long as Steve serves Apple at a very high level, it will be business as usual and we should not expect things like Widgets and Flash. We can, however, expect amazing new products and I think what Apple releases over the next five years will be clever and inventive and unexpected..
If we want to honor Steve Jobs, let's stop acting like he has passed away.
