Well. On my mini I use apple tv but change h264 to ffmpg because it's a mini. On the MacBook I leave it as it. 

I can go take a screenie of my presets if you wish

What settings do you use on HB for the iPad, please? Do you use the preset? I used a generic the first time through and put the size limit at 700mb. These are 75 - 80 year old b&w movies, and they were really faded.
