Virgin Mobile has a new device for the iPod. It is like a small cradle or case that provides Wi-Fi connectivity for the iPod Touch, 2nd Generation.
It is thirty bucks for the device and the data costs are about thirty dollars a month, no contract.
What might be of interest to those gathered here is it will also provide Wi-Fi connectivity to other Wi-Fi devices. I am told that includes the iPad. VM tells us it will work with a laptop and the iPad is not specifically mentioned.
As I recall, it will accept memory cards as well.
Anybody tried this device with an iPad? Seems ideal for those without a 3G iPad and needs the occasional web access when there is no Wi-Fi available. The no contract is a good thing too.
