Never discard your CDs. They take up very little space, and they're perfect backup.
It's a one way street. In order to get the record companies on board in the early iTunes Store negotiations they had that as a way to combat piracy to convince the record companies that an iTunes Store and iPod model was safe.
What I'd suggest is to set up the new computer and reimport the CDs. What id do is goto TPB and torrent the files. When i loaded iTunes on the computer it took them and put them on my iPad , but now it wont give them up. Thanks iPad for taking them and not giving them back. lol

You might try using the Senuti app to move the songs from your iPad to your computer. I've read about the app, but haven't used it myself. If it's successful, I would recommend regular backups of both devices to avoid future problems.

The fault is being blamed on the latest iOS 9.3 update after a Booking.com app broke a central links system. It is understood that an error in travel planning app Booking.com – one of the most downloaded free apps on iOS – overloaded one of Apple's core systems for linking web addresses and apps within iOS on the iPhone and the iPad called Universal Links. The bug primarily affects the latest Apple devices, including iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s Plus, and is understood to affect some iPad models as well. Users are complaining that they are unable to open links in Safari, Messages, Mail, Notes and other apps and instead of visiting the target website the app crashes or hangs. Others report that tapping on links simply does nothing while a tap and hold causes a crash. Apple promises a fix According to 9to5Mac, some users have reported that disabling JavaScript partly solves the issue for opening links in Safari. Users are blaming the recent iOS 9.3 update, which has also been blamed for battery issues experienced on devices. Thanks. I won't be doing Machu Picchu. About a week in Lima. Then two weeks in Iquitos, in the headwaters on the Amazon. I'm so very excited for the jungle. Google "Belen market" maybe goto YouTube. Crazy fun stuff. I get to eat just crazy crazy things. I'm excited. I'm also going to see what this Ayahuasca is all about. Well I kinda know. But I'm going to experience it. I'm really excited about the jungle. The bugs. The snakes. Pink Dolphins! Manatees!
