I'm seeing these calls at work too. I hope the fix is soon. For me I've narrowed it to the way the device communicated through the celly. Wifi on or off doesn't affect the battery but putting it into airplane mode increases it. Maybe that will help you.

I am running 8.1.2 and I think it's dreadful. Last night when I went to bed my phone was charged at 90%. I made very sure all the apps had been quit. This morning it was deader than a door nail.i thought for a bit it had turned itself off so I pushed the button on the side with no response so I plugged it in and saw the depleted battery. I updated my iPad too and I have the same battery issue. I sure hope Apple fixes this soon.
