> Overall, the iPad is a nice tablet, but it really ticks me off that so many sites just don't work properly on Safari. There may be a way to change the default browser but it is not obvious to me and I don't have the time to screw with it. From my brief research on the subject it takes a jailbreak to change the default browser. That is ridiculous.

It gives a message "If this page does not automatically redirect you Click Here". You can click until the cows come home but it doesn't take you anywhere. You can copy the link and then go to Chrome and copy it and it gets there but who in their right mind is going to do this? The function works fine on Android and Windows. As soon as you click the link in the email it takes you to the listings. Even if I did figure out to change the default browser, how many people would do that? Most wouldn't know how. Why is Apple so damned arrogant? The listings can be seen on Chrome but how many people will go through the trouble. I also doubt it would work on an Apple notebook or desktop since Safari is so ridiculously limited.

My opinion is that most modern web browsers can deal with properly-created, well written HTML web pages very well.
And that most pages that Safari (to pick your example) has trouble with do not meet that description. A site that is *dependent* on Flash qualifies as "badly written".
