Maybe I missed something, Christopher, but I didn't read one post where anyone judged Robin Williams for committing suicide.  As to thinking one's way out of depression, I agree with you.  It would be great if one could think oneself out of it, but that's not the way it works.  My husband also suffers from it, and I know he would gladly "think himself out of it" if he could.  Fortunately, he got help and is on medication which helps him deal with it.  He has the additional burden of knowing that two of his relatives committed suicide due to depression.

It may not have been meant that way Carlee, but it came across quite succinctly that a number of people on here were judging Robin Williams for committing suicide.

If one could just "think" one's way out of depression, then life would be so much easier and simpler.

But that is not the way it happens.

My heart goes out to anyone suffering from depression. Hopefully, one day we will find an answer.
