My iPad was new in spring 2012. (What model is that? I thought 3 but they changed the numbering.) It runs iOS 7 and uses wifi.
I was using a Safari window to check my email on the Verizon site, as I have done many times before. It was loading slowly so I hit "refresh," the circular arrow at the top of the window. Got the "Are you sure you want to submit this form again?" box. I chose Submit, and got the same box twice more. Now the box is the only thing lit up; the rest of the window is gray. I can't close the Verizon tab or choose any of the other tabs. I have chosen "Cancel" in the box several times; it grays for a moment but nothing happens.
I went to the App Store and found Safari in case I needed a new version. When I touched it, an apple.com window opened in Safari but the situation is the same, just the "Are you sure..." box.
I can't open the manual on the iPad because it's a Safari bookmark. Looked at the manual on my Mac but couldn't find any help. There does not seem to be a troubleshooting section, a serious lack IMO.
If something like this happened on my Mac, I would force quit Safari and restart it. Is there a way to do something equivalent on the iPad?
Suggestions appreciated. adTHANKSvance!
