LOL, ok!  The odd thing is this issue doesn't occur on any other cameras except an Apple camera.

It does, Jim, and it is very annoying.  We've noticed that even if you pay attention to the orientation, it doesn't always do the trick.  Sometimes it does, though, so it is inconsistent.

The EXIF data provided by Apple includes an "Orientation" parameter.
I guess that some Windows software ignores it.
