The only way I know to remove them is to reconnect the iPad to your computer & change the selection in the Photos tab to not sync them.

When I first got my iPad, I synced it with my desktop computer, and over 6000 photos were transferred. I can find no way to delete the photos from my iPad and prevent them from being synced again. Does anyone have an answer?
