I also have a hearing problem and use CC. My biggest pet peeve is that the loud music or other sound effects on most TV shows (to enhance the dramatic moment, I'm guessing) overpowers the dialog and it is hard to understand what the actors are saying. I have stopped watching some shows because of this. Another thing is that they speak too fast to understand clearly. And CC can't always catch up with the spoken word. I heard somewhere that the tape was deliberately sped up to squeeze in additional commercial time. I don't know if this is true or not but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it is true.

My hearing is a challenge for me, and I find most EVERYONE mumbles, LOL!
I use closed captioning, does Netflix not offer this? Most DVD's nowadays do......and there is an option on my TV and DVR.......
