Are you kidding me? Apple's would be "now those of you who really like
the Apple-verse with it's lack of malware and viruses and who trust the
products at the iTunes App Store can have a large tablet, too!"

By your logic Apple shouldn't even continue in the tablet market at all,
since there are so many other models to choose from.

But for those of us who want to stay with apps which work on iOS and who
want the comfort and safety of the Apple environment, there are no other
choices besides iPads.

And the apps that I use the most aren't even available for non-Apple
tablets, so how exactly would a Samsung or Sharp tablet help me?

No, that's fine.  Inevitable, maybe.  But it's catch-up.

Apple's in danger of looking like a one-trick pony:  just Macs, iTunes, and tablets, in four - soon to be five! - sizes.

They've done next to nothing with AppleTV and AirPlay.  The new MacPro underwhelmed critics.

That isn't a huge stable for the world's most highly valued company.
