When you de-register, and then go back online to register to different
account -- won't the items you have from the old (i.e. "your") account be
deleted?
Have you actually been able to get items from two different Amazon accounts
in the same Kindle app/device at the same time?
Anyway, it sounds to me like trying to cheat. You may not like their system,
but before breaking the rules it's a good idea to know what they are and
what the consequences are of breaking them.
I wouldn't let someone else register their device to my account so lightly,
either -- as they would also be able to buy things *on my account* that I
might not care for or want to pay for.

I will share a clever trick though. Deregister a device. Then login and
register the device with a friends Amazon id. Then grab some of their books
from the cloud. Then deregister it again and register/login with your Amazon
id. Then you will have your books plus the friends book you downloaded.

Or to put it slightly differently, you can always download your amazon
purchases to any device.

Basically anything you download for free or paid goes to the "Amazon Cloud".
Once in the "Amazon Cloud" you can download any book/item to any Kindle
Device you have or any Kindle App on PC, Mac, Android, iPad, whatever. Once
downloaded to a specific app or device it stays there till you remove it. Of
course anything you buy -- free or paid -- will always be in the cloud to be
retrieved on any device you own or any App you run on any hardware (Windows,
Mac, Android, iPad).

I do have a question though. If I put the Kindle app on my Kindle, iPad, and
computer and I download a book;for example, could I download the same thing
on each device? What is the difference between paid and free items?
