A few months ago, I applied to my insurance to get a new, easier to see insulin pump called the t:Slim. It was denied, as my current minimed pump is "Too new" but my eyesight is worse after a cataract operation. The T:Slim is easier to see with a high contrast screen.

Well, I appealed and it went to the Federal level. Maximus Fed Appeals overturned the denial and I got the news today. I will now be in the process of getting the new insulin pump. So happy!!

An aside though, the t:slim is a touch screen pump, looks like something Apple should have designed. The whole front of the pump is the same size as the iPhone screen.

So cool!! I will have what appears to be an 'iPump' :-) I'll be reading the PDF's I have about this device to learn how to use it better.

I always share my b***ches and complaints, now for sharing good stuff!!
