RE: [iPad] OT Hurricane Sandy

Judith,  you’ve probably read my previous post on this subject by the time you read this one and going to be hitting the ceiling.  Before you bang your head on it,  please realize that I was NOT complaining about those who decided to stick it out rather than evacuate…. I was complaining about those who made that decision but did NOT take the necessary precautions.   I just find it difficult to excuse the actions,  or inactions,  of those who knowingly place themselves in jeopardy without at least taking suitable precautions.

Am I asking too much, or expecting too much of people to do this?  I know there’s a Bell curve,  but I thought the majority of people had enough sense to know what their essential needs are when power, water, and communications are not available. …  maybe I’m wrong?

Can we have a little sympathy and not go back to another 3 days of bickering about people deserving what they got for not evacuating! There are some people on this list that just have to take the opposite of whatever subject comes up just for the sake of an argument.

It is not fair at all for all of you to judge why someone did not evacuate if you are not in their shoes. There are people in the same situation as Eden that were NOT in an area to be evacuated and they are in the same dire situation. How about a little empathy and a helping hand instead of all these "told ya so".
