I won't be getting the Mini ... I think it has it's purpose ... but I love my iPad3 and it is my FIRST iPad. I will say, however, that I am NOT happy about just having bought the iPad 3 and now there is a new one. Kind of sucks!!!
But I like the iPad3 FOR its size. I use it as my everything. I did away with my paper journal and use the iPad. I don't have to enlarge the page to read anything. I think the mini is too small for what I use it for. If I wanted to use a small item, I would put all this on my iPhone.
Guess it depends on what you need it for. My iPad3 fits in my purse, no trouble reading, playing games, TV, movies, etc. Smaller may be convenient, but sometimes I think it may defeat the purpose.
But it will fit for some folks. But won't make me go buy it. I will be careful in the future before I upgrade or buy some new product from Apple. They were on a system about how soon items would be released and they broke that system so now we don't know what to expect. They really burned a lot of new iPad 3 owners with this new release. The iPad 3 should not have been released --- they should have just waited for the iPad 4. If they had, I still would not have bought the mini. I like the regular size.

Subject: [iPad] iPad Mini VS iPad3
Some have expressed interest in selling their iPad3 and buying the iPad Mini. I saw the iPad Mini yesterday and was impressed. Thoughts? Has anyone who had the larger iPad bought the Mini? I realize it's early in the process.
