Re: [iPad] Introduction & a question

Hi Joan, glad you asked about mail on the iPad mini. I got one yesterday. If you go into the settings to the accessibility and you can make Font bigger. Sorry, on the iPhone at the moment.

I noticed in mail, default has the sidebar on the left in both portrait and landscape. Making the font a touch bigger removes the sidebar in portrait mode. I haven't figured out how to remove the sidebar from landscape mode yet.

Hi, Joan.  Welcome!  You can pinch the screen with 4 or 5 fingers to close.  You can also use 3 fingers to swipe from left to right to go back to previous pages.  Make sure multitasking features is on.

As far as email in landscape, I don't have an answer.

Hi... I'm Joan, from CT. I joined this group yesterday because I am now the proud owner of an iPad Mini. It's my very first iPad and I'm still fumbling around with it. I have lots of questions. First, is. There some sort of backspace on this thing? If I'm on a page and want to get out of it, I find I need to hit the home button... there's got to be a better way.

Also, I read yahoo groups on my gmail. When I put it in landscape mode, so I can make the font larger, there is a sidebar on the left side which takes up a lot of real estate. Is there any way of removing that?

Also, any good suggestions on where to go to get up to speed on this wonderful machine?

Thanks for your help!
JoanB
