Why wouldn't you go to the developer of the app?

Subject: [iPad] Touch Screen Acting Weird
I have an iPad1. I sometimes use my bank's website to pay bills. The function brings up something that looks sort of like an Excel spreadsheet, with different cells for name of payee, amount, etc. It was working fine until a couple of weeks ago. Now, if I touch the line for, say, the 6th line down, the cell for, say, the 3rd line down becomes active, not the line that I touched. I have tried rebooting a couple of times with no change. Does anyone have any bright ideas before I go to the Apple Store?
