Another vote for Evernote. I started using it a few years ago in Windows (to replace InfoSelect). When I got my first iPhone I was delighted to find an Evernote version for that. Then I switched to a Mac and am using Evernote on it. A few months ago I added an iPad. Now Evernote on all three machines are kept in sync via the cloud.

I moved my pilot memos forward into the notes inside outlook this has allowed me to use the notes from my old pilot in ipaq pda's windows phones & now my ipad/iphone notes app via the outlook sync in itunes but I noticed that it has lost parts of notes or only partly backed them up so I have switched to evernote this has the added advantage as it has an online backup which is free for a quite usable amount and you can pay for more if you need to I really like the fact that it syncs both devices without itunes and you can convert all your outlook notes into evernotes very easily.
I hope that helps

I started looking for a replacement and I guess this iPad is the "replacement". One of the "apps" I loved on my PDA was the memo function. I loved how it worked and ordered things, etc.
