Makes sense, and I did set 'rules to do that. Oddly, on the iPad, it doesn't apply rules. and all that junk winds up in my inbox.  I've noticed many spam emails are from Yahoo.com too. It's getting tiresome with all that pr0n spam.

Most of that seems to come from hotmail.com.

I filter ALL hotmail.com to a special folder, and review it. About 1-2% is legitimate mail from "real people" who use hotmail; the rest is deleted.
