Re: [iPad] Spam

I get 1 about every month.  I don't see the attraction to sending spam, just shows how juvenile some people are.  Rita

So far, and I am a newbie I haven't had any spam e-mails as yet.

My other groups, which I have been in for some years, have had spam sent to them one time or another but I think that the moderators can get rid of them???? .....we don't get much though thank goodness,

Some folks get a kick out of sending spam, they are really folks that haven't got enough sane things to do....they just want to make mischief.

Yes, but in this case it is the iPhone Yahoo group that is the SPAM problem. Smart thing would be for the owner to start a new group and shut the current one down.
Would guess with a bit of effort or moderating could stop trash.
We're in yahoo groups with over 3000 members and don't get this trash.
Sad, it should be a great list.

Most of that seems to come from hotmail.com.

I filter ALL hotmail.com to a special folder, and review it. About 1-2% is legitimate mail from "real people" who use hotmail; the rest is deleted.
