Re: [iPad] Verifying Ipad restore with Apple is on a hamster wheel

Do you have the latest version of iTunes installed? Also, do you have any third-party iTunes plugins installed?

I appreciate the responses.  I found out the ipad itself wasn't even communicating with itunes anymore, so it was easy to unplug it safely.  Itunes was in some sort of loop and wouldn't shut down without closing down the computer.  I think I'll delete some things from the ipad before trying the upgrade again, in case there's more stuff there than it can handle for some reason.

Thank you for the responses, everyone!

That happened to me the first time I tried it.  I ended up aborting the update and did it at a later date.  It took very little time then.

Hi!

I set my Ipad up to update the system and it's been hung up with Verifying for hours now. Does anybody know if that should be a quick part of the process? If it takes a long time I'm fine with waiting, but if I need to move on I'd rather do it sooner than later.

Thanks very much!
Laura
