Not sure if this has been discussed before, but you may want to check out cnet.com for product reviews, info etc on electronics including Apple products. (Reviewer in video mentions that good to compare prices using MacMall, MacConnection and Best Buy as well).
(I don't work for any of these companies or have stock in them; this recommendation is just mine based on my positive experience.
I was looking to buy an iPad2, but think I'll wait for iPad3 to come out as 2 will get cheaper and I'm not in a hurry. Went to cnet.com to get info on 3, but they just mentioned predicted features, no date. Another option is to buy one in an Apple store in a state without state sales tax to save if that works out for you :)
Anyway, cnet.com is an informative site and a great resource.
(I checked cnet.com to find a web hosting company and am pleased that I got one that hosts and provides many other services etc that's in Southern California (I'm in San Francisco), they're 7/24 and LOCAL US tech support which was a major factor for me.

Then I saw that there was an expert online, so I initiated a chat and got an expert named Sophie. (That is amusing for me because I have a cat named Sophie!) Sophie told me that this was a problem they were having and to phone in my order, so I did, and the Apple employee I talked to told me to send him the order number and he would make sure I got the money refunded.
