My iPad2 had 65 gigs on it ... I have lots of books and magazines, and add movies to watch.
My iPhone4 has only 8 gigs ... if I tried to read much on it I would need to buy 2 iPhones ... one for each eyeball!

It really depends. Some of us are real app addicts, and it is easy to fill up an iPhone with wonderful music, lots of photos, and... APPS! If you find you are having to delete a lot of pictures on your iPad, and you can't get all the music on it that you would like, and you have lots of the same apps on it that you will want on your iPhone, you might be very glad to have the 64 GB iPhone. If, on the other hand, you don't overdo it with apps and you don't want a huge amount of music and you don't take lots of pics that you hate to delete, then I think the 32 GB would serve you very well. A "moderate" person like my husband would even be quite satisfied with the 16GB.Hope this helps a bit. "Know thyself" and you will buy the right amount of GB. LOLCarlee
