Either you've been adding *something* to the "disk" or your machine is showing signs of premature aging. On the settings screen (icon of three grey cogged wheels) select General, then About. What are the "capacity" and "available" numbers?

I'm an average 71 year old who, normally is confused. My iPad1 caused even greater confusion when it came up with the message;
Some thing like "the disk pace is getting tight delete some photos and videos"
Well I've no videos and the only photos are those Mac in their wisdom installed prior to my buying the iPad.
Am I right in saying these photos can not be deleted. Why they were put there beats me.
If they can be deleted can someone tell me how.
