Where did you buy it from? The scenario makes me wonder if the code was compromised before you purchased it. There have been scams documented where employees of places that handled gift cards/vouchers were able to access and redeem the codes, then sold the now dead cards to unsuspecting customers.

We bought an iTunes voucher for our daughter for Xmas.
She credited it to her iTunes account.
When she went to use the credit, it had disappeared as it had been got at by somebody with an oriental name.
She is trying to get it refunded.
1) Has anybody else had this happen to them?
2). If so this does not say much for iTunes security
3) I hasten to add she has changed all passwords
Any comments?
