Does anyone think that Apple will go after Chevy, Toyota, etc? I believe they'll go after the DeLorean type market and make a few hundred cars a year and continue making their 400+% mark-up that they make on everything else.
Why lower standards when they just appeal to a different, more elite group of buyers.
Apple has never lower their sales expectations, and I wouldn't expect them to do it even with a car.
They just RAISED their price on Apple TV to 50-100% more than the competition, and they'll get it. They don't bow to consumers, consumers bow to Apple. Its completely wrong, but Apple holds the secret, they always have, and they always will.
And, if they don't... the Apple-Car will go the way of the Newton, and slip quietly into oblivion.
