I bought my 64GB iPhone 6 on the NEXT plan when it was released for a financed price of $749.99. The price for the same UNLOCKED model on the Apple site today is $749.00. I can pay off my balance at any time in order to have the phone belong to me to keep or sell as I might choose. My monthly service fee was reduced when I changed to the NEXT plan versus a two-year contract. I spent a long time 'putting a pencil' to the two options before I bought the phone & obtained lots of helpful information by calling AT&T.
