As of July 6th Evernote is removing the ability to email in notes from its Basic plan. Since that is a primary way to get stuff into Evernote, it will mean ponying up a minimum of $24.95 a year to "upgrade" to Evernote Plus or lose a major part of the app's utility.
I guess the Basic was too useful as is to most people so enough weren't paying for an "upgraded" plan. Well, it was nice while it lasted.
