Well, I was thinking mainly of the help-desk people's need to have a little compassion for the excessively frustrated client, but it might work the other way, too, especially if something tells you the employee is suffering from a very long day or night 😎

I'm going to keep it in mind the next time I have to call Comcast!  I'm very happy with them right now because they just doubled my internet speed at no additional cost, but I've sure had some unpleasant experiences with their customer service people over the years.
