I'm hoping I unluckily got two batteries that were bad in a row and that it's simply a battery issue. I saw it when iOS 7 hit then got a new battery and it was good until iOS 8 hit then now it's bad again but both updates were a year apart so timing may be a coincidence.

Kris has had this issue for a while now, I reckon its not his usage, apps, or battery, I think its his phone, it may have a fault that causes this battery drain.

Maybe it's worth a shot it would be my second battery. At this point the replacement is about $40. I get about 75-90 minutes of use out of a full charge.

I've done a few complete wipes and rebuilt the data and still have battery drain. Big time. Okay. So I'm going to assume it's not the operating system and replace the battery. If the issue persists then it's either another bad battery, or software unless it's in the charging mechanism

Take it to an Apple store and tell them it's only a little over 2 years old, but the battery seems to be failing early. They will check the battery and if it is failing, you have a case for having them replace it for you.
