It could be hardware related and a component on the motherboard is going out and using a high amount of current. Nothing you can do to fix that except get it repaired or replaced.

Months. The replacement was only warranties for 3 months lol unlike the original which was warranties for a year. So. No luck for me. I don't get a second one. I'm just hoping it's the battery and not something deeper b

On my iPhone 5. I've done a few complete wipes and rebuilt the data and still have battery drain. Big time. Okay. So I'm going to assume it's not the operating system and replace the battery. If the issue persists then it's either another bad battery, or software unless it's in the charging mechanism
