If you connect it to the computer and iTunes, and right click the iPad and select Transfer Purchases to get that up to date. It should have done that automatically I thought

There are purchased items on the iPad "David C. Putman's iPad" that have not been transferred to your iTunes library. You should transfer these items to your iTunes library before updating this iPad. Are you sure you want to continue?
