I can watch the percentage go over the course of an hour down percent by percent. It's crazy. I've done a few factory restores without starting from backup. Same issue.

Does it really actually die, or is there (or possibly also) something wrong with the calibration?bjSent: Wednesday, February 18, 2015 1:37 PMSubject: Re: [iPad] OT: battery woes
Maybe it's worth a shot it would be my second battery. At this point the replacement is about $40. I get about 75-90 minutes of use out of a full charge.
Sent from my iPhoneOn my iPhone 5.I've done a few complete wipes and rebuilt the data and still have battery drain. Big time. Okay. So I'm going to assume it's not the operating system and replace the battery. If the issue persists then it's either another bad battery, or software unless it's in the charging mechanism
Thoughts?Take it to an Apple store and tell them it's only a little over 2 years old, but the battery seems to be failing early. They will check the battery and if it is failing, you have a case for having them replace it for you.
Your battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 500 complete charge cycles. The one-year warranty includes service coverage for a defective battery. If it is out of warranty, Apple offers a battery service for $79, plus $6.95 shipping, subject to local tax.
