But you're an exception. For you, in Guatemala, it's a lifeline. Nothing else will do half as well. For me, in Ohio, it's more of a quasi-necessary annoyance.
It will get better, of course, but unless they change the form factor radically, it'll still be a brick making my pocket bulge out.
Speaking of changing the form factor, Google Glass is interesting. If they can make that into a phone, they may capture a big piece of the cell-phone market. And as much as I dislike the idea of wearing a wrist watch again, a cell phone in that configuration could be major progress.
Id be list without my iPhone.

I've never needed and still don't need my iPhone. It's the wrong solution for a real problem - wrong size, wrong technology, obscenely overpriced, both in hardware and services. But it's what we have because it's what Silicon Valley came up with and everyone jumped on the bandwagon
