Agreed. To each his/her/their/its own.

For me, though, commercials are like garbage in the yard - unacceptable. It used to be different. For many years, I'd watch everything - junk, commercials, and all. At some point, maybe twenty years ago, avoiding most television and all commercials just became a no-brainer. Lately, with subscription services, like Netflix, it's become possible to watch just the few programs that seem worthwhile and that are commercial free. They cost, though - Netflix is eight dollars a month.

You're a musician, yes? A friend, a pianist who teaches music, is a little like me in this. She's bugged by elevator music, which she can't help hearing. Commercials are like that for me - I can't tune them out.
