I don't have the patience to set up the recorder to record them all,
then rewind the tapes to find them (nor do I have the money to buy a
digital recorder), so I watch them via Comcast's "On Demand" feature
(since I'm working when those shows are airing). It used to be that for
many of the shows I could fast-forward through the commercials, but
these days Comcast has it set that none of the on-demand shows I watch
will allow fast-forwarding.

And just as you can't imagine putting up with commercials, I can't
imagine the huge negative response to them that many people espouse.

How else do you think your shows get made, if not with the money earned
from selling commercials? Those actors don't work for free and neither
do the writers, composers, tech crews, etc. I'm glad you have it worked
out that you can enjoy the shows for free.

Personally, I feel life's too short to worry about a few minutes of
commercials, especially when they guarantee the future of the shows I
like to watch. There are far more important things in my life to worry
about and spend time trying to alleviate.
