Seems to me, too, that my iPad (#4 - the one before the Air) battery is failing fast. Is this happening to everyone?Could be subjective, of course. I've been using it more. It feels weaker, tho.> I have another question for you it seems lately my iPad is losing its charge extremely fast ...example last night when I closed it I had a 9% charge did not have my charger with me so I just closed my iPad in its case was going to charge it in the morning when I got up ...this morning It was dead... I lost 9% of the charge by it being closed... has anyone ever had this problem ...if so can you give me any advice.
The On/Off switch, or the magnetic switch when you close a case, turns the screen off.
It does not turn the iPad off. Apps that are doing anything in the background continue to do so, using power. And any background activities that go online, such as fetching mail, or map data, or updating Facebook or weather -- continue to use power as well.
To turn the iPad completely off, press and hold the On/Off switch until the slider appears and slide it to Off.

Re: [iPad] Charges [1 Attachment]
I consistently get 16 hours of use. If I only use the iPad 2 hours a day then that's good for 8 days of use per charge.
