Does it change the resolution? I've tried a couple different converters and they were fast but resolution after conversion was terrible.

Once you do choose format, I'd suggest GraphicConverter to make the conversion.
It's particularly capable, speedy, and has great options.
(It would be able to batch-process a whole folder, filtered, into a new folder, with very good speed)
