I am or have been on only 3-4 lists which default to "reply to individual" rather than "reply to list". If I catch this, I uniformly delete the individual's address in substitute the list's.
All the remainder of the lists I'm on default to "replay to list", so a simple "Reply" goes back to the list, and the individual who sent to the list the message to which I am replying of course receives the list, and hence receives my reply.
