Hopefully your JB will be a better experience than mine. I found JB slowed down my iPhone and iPad. My iPad needed hard booting every so often.
I took your advice and went to RedmondPie and a few other sites and from what I gathered there is no jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3. However I did run across one website that stated that the release date for iOS7 will be Sept 10, and that a jailbreak for 6.1.3 will be ready shortly after that. I guess I will have to wait a bit longer to satisfy my curiosity about jailbreaking.

It could vary depending on the iPad you have and the version of iOS.
If you have the latest than it not even possible.
Best thing to do is google and YouTube for jail breaking your device.
RedmondPie typically has step by step instructions.
