Re: [iPad] Widgets from the Android world if iOS ever chooses to 'borg' them

There are several battery widgets that show % on Android. I found because there are a dozen of each kind of widget (Batteries, BlueTooth, etc.) I looked at rating and only downloaded the ones that were extremely high rated by 1,000+ users and that eliminated a number of lame widgets that provided little value. The Best Battery widgets have % and colors: Green, Orange, Red but if one is not careful one can download some really useless Battery widgets which are not worth adding to screen.

A good example is the BlueTooth widget that is best rated not only toggles bluetooth but it has 4 colors: Off, Turning On, Attempting to Pair, Paired and those colors really helped me be sure when my device was not connected yet but that everything was on track because the 'turning on' color and 'attempting to pair' color were indicated.

I like my iDevices a LOT just would really enjoy some widgets to make my iPad even more pleasant to use. For my bilingual kids the Japanese support is godsend they need that for all the YouTube videos they watch with only Japanese titles. Android is wayyyyyyy behind on internationalization iOS handles internationalization so well. Plus worship my retina screen, and not a big fan of anything less on tablets or laptops. Widgets on Retina quality screen would be breathtaking.

I have a Google Nexus 7. I downloaded a battery widget. It sits in the upper right corner of my screen.  It doesn't get used much. I don't like junking up my screen with widgets since I have put all my apps in folders on my home page. I got the battery widget because it thought it would show me the percent of battery life I have left Brighton the screen without having to tap it to see it. Nope, doesn't do that.  I have yet to find in settings if my N7 how to turn on battery percentage. Maybe there isn't one.

I'm a total Apple ecosystem user. Love it because of its simplicity in look and ease of use. My iPad 3 is most used although for the past couple of days I've been trying to use my N7. I sure feel more comfortable when I go back to my iPad.
