The iPad is my iPod replacement. so I do take my music with me. I also download audio and video podcasts. Throw in some apps to show off the iPad and it adds up fast. Also, I've noticed more and more Internet providers throwing caps on their data because of all of the streaming. While it doesn't affect me right now, it is an issue that makes the cloud not such a great idea for everyone. Most of us jump through enough hoops trying to make a device's battery last longer. I'd rather not have to do the same trying to fit what I want on my iPad.
And one of these days my daughter is going to break down and say "OK, I will give Brigadoon a second chance." My iPad wants to be ready for that moment.

Subject: Re: [iPad] Which Size iPad Mini
I don't know how others use their iPad's but then I'm pretty conservative on how I use mine. I don't have movies or music on my iPad and only those apps I use. I don't store apps thinking I might use them someday. The only times I had a movies on my iPad was for my plane ride to and from SFO to Newark, NJ airport 2 yrs ago and to and from Sacramento to Newark, NJ last year. My iPod Classic holds my whole iTunes music library with room for a few podcasts and a little room left. All my apps are in the Cloud so wherever there's wifi I can download if I need an app I don't have on my iPad at the time.
I thought Apples idea giving us the cloud was so we didn't need to carry all our apps with us. Just my thoughts.
