Re: [iPad] TOTALLY OT… but then again...

In the mid-nineties, they told me that same thing. "You're fine on shots" I appealed the heck out of that. I was very hard to get control even with small shots 8x a day.

Finally, one came up in a blind person's newsletter and I bought it secondhand. The pump company really stepped up and helped me with tech support, transferring the warranty to me (Highly unusual!!) and since then insurance covered any renewals or such.

If you feel a pump would augment your quality of life, by all means appeal that decision. I won this second appeal, and the feds even agreed I need the better display on this pump.

Thanks for the well-wishes. I am looking forward to this sweeter tech and screen. :-D So far, no communication from the pump itself, but my BG apps do let me email my CDE and such. (iBGStar-Diabetes pal, and Telcare... in the app store.) even if you don't use their meters, you can manually enter the details and every frew weeks, email them to you HCP if they allow it.

Usually I run a print out of mine and take them in to my visits.
