Re: [iPad] OT: Windows 8

Love the comments from you two. You both have your opinions and that's a good thing. I learn from both of you :-)

When I am 'mobile' as you call it, I am at 100% charge to start due to my use of wires. When I walk out of my car after a 30-80 minute drive or 6 hour drive to my Mom's hometown my device is 100% charged.

Your dentist and these people all have 120v whether I use it or not.

Mobile <> unplugged two different ideas.

Please be 'unplugged' in places with plugs all you want but why you need to hassle me for doing it (wasting other member's bandwidth) is just one of your many quirks that makes me not take your comments seriously most of the time compared to other opinions on the list I have come to respect very much.

Mobile to me means open, instant on, small and unobtrusive. Years ago at a conference when I pulled out my laptop and took notes at a speech my keyboard clacking annoyed participants in the small room and it was uncomfortable on my lap. Laptop screens, the screen intrudes and breaks the line of conference table it did not lay flat. The iPad does not make noise when I type and does not need to be on my lap or jut out of a conference table.

Then why argue about mobility. Your not mobile. You are constrained by wires. I prefer low battery consumption and less charges over rapid battery depletion requiring my dentist to have available plug ins.
